Congratulations to Our Markham Majors OHL Draft Class of 2024, with Braidy Wassilyn going in the 1st round 4th overall to Niagara, Ryder Cali in the 1st round 18th overall to the Soo, Matthew Humphries in the 3rd round 44th overall to Niagara, Ronan Clarke in the 11th round to Mississauga, Calum Murphy in the 13th round to Mississauga and Cruz Doner in the 14th round to Brantford.

We would also like to congratulate the players who previously played in our jerseys-Cole Zurawski for going in the 1st round, Gavin Betts in the 2nd round, Gage Brandon in the 3rd round, Jackson Halloran in the 5th round, Peter Koukouves in the 6th round and Javian Nei in the 12th round.

Markham Majors Alumni, Zayne Parekh 1st round pick 19th overall to Saginaw on his 17th birthday, scored his 19th and 20th goals of the season in the final three minutes of the third period, passing London Knights defenseman Rick Corriveau’s 1987-88 OHL record for goals by a 16-year-old rookie defenseman
Parekh finished the game with two goals and an assist while fellow rearguard Mitchell Smith had a goal and two helpers

Congratulations to Braidy Wassilyn from our U16AAA Majors team who was one of three players chosen from the GTHL to represent Team Canada at this year's Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon South Korea
